If you’ve hired a professional hair & makeup artist who specializes in Bridal work, chances are you won’t need to do much once they are done. Even with it being such a long day, they know which products and techniques are best to keep your hair & makeup looking fresh all day and night! But it’s always a good idea to have a few staples on hand. So I’ve put together a few beauty products you may need for wedding day touchups.
TRANSLUCENT POWDER
If you are one to get shiny, it’s a great idea to have a pressed translucent powder on hand. Especially if you are getting married outside, during a warm month or just like to break it down on the dance floor. 💃
I definitely recommend a pressed powder so you’re not messing around with loose powder in your wedding dress! I love this powder by It Cosmetics because it’s a talc-free formula, it mattifies but is infused with silk so it’s not too drying.
LIP STICK
Even though we use long-lasting lipstick, you’ll be eating, drinking and doing a lot of talking! So it’s never a bad idea to have lipstick on hand for touchups throughout the night.
Obviously you can get the specific lipstick used during your bridal trial but I thought it would be nice to recommend two of my most popular options.
If you love a good nude lipstick, Penelope Pink might be just for you!
If you want a beautiful matte nude-pink, Pillow Talk is gorgeous!
LIP GLOSS
Milani is my go to for a touchup gloss. I particularly like the plumping line and think Champagne is a great layering gloss that you can put on top of just about any color lipstick.
HAIRSPRAY
You may not realize, but too much hairspray can actually weigh your hair down. Your hairstylist will most likely use enough hairspray. But if you get any stray fly-aways or need a little touchup later in the evening, I highly recommend this medium hold hairspray. Just don’t go crazy with it! 😉
LASH GLUE
Lastly, it’s not a bad idea to have false eyelash glue for emergencies. If you are one to cry, you’ll definitely want to dab your eyes with a tissue to soak up any tears. Never wipe or rub so you don’t smear your makeup!
Occasionally, if you let a tear pool up in the corner of your eye for too long, it can loosen the lash glue. 😣 IF this were to happen (which is pretty rare), I recommend having this liner lash glue on hand.
This is a clear glue that comes in an eyeliner pen form for easier application. You would want to gently hold the corner of the lash out and use the pen to draw on your lash line, just like you would eyeliner. Then gently set the false lash strip back onto your lash line to adhere.
Crisis averted!!
I hope this was helpful and will make you feel more prepared for your wedding day!
Of course, if you’d like any other recommendations, please feel free to reach out or leave a comment!
Good luck and congratulations!! I hope you feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. 💕
