Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do I book you for my wedding?Your date is only secured when both a fully executed contract as well as a non-refundable and non-transferable retainer on contracted services have been received. Bookings are on a first-come first-reserve basis. Without a contract and retainer, the date is still open for other brides to book.
-
How far in advance should I book your services before my wedding? As soon as you know your date! Wedding dates are usually booked by brides up to a year and a half in advance. If you like a stylist's work, please don't wait too long to book. Make sure you book them before they are no longer available!
-
Can I book the minimum services now and add more later?Once the contract is signed, the number of services cannot be decreased. If you would like to add on more services later, let me know as soon as possible. I will let you know if I am able to accommodate the request. Sometimes this may require an additional artist (fees apply). It is important to get an accurate count of confirmed services as early as possible.
-
Can I add more services the day of?If time permits when all contracted services have been completed, we would be happy to acommodate any additional service requests! The fee for those services will be due at the time of service.
-
"I'm getting ready outside of Charlotte, NC- will you travel to me?"Yes, we do travel! A travel fee will apply. If the getting-ready location is 2 hours or more away; hotel accommodations may be required. If it is a destination wedding, accommodations such as flights, meals, and hotel will be required.
-
Can you accommodate a large bridal party?Absolutely! I have a team of super talented stylists/artists and will bring them with me to accommodate any size! Additional stylist fee will apply.
-
Is a bridal trial required?A bridal trial is not required for booking (EXCEPT for Hollywood Waves)*, but it is highly recommended! A bridal trial is the time for us to meet and pin point what you envision as your perfect bridal look. It will allow you to test the longevity of the style and/or makeup and we can make any adjustments necessary on the day of your wedding based on how the style wears. *The Hollywood Waves style is a style that holds differently on different hair types. The trial will allow us to see how well your waves hold based on your personal hair type and it will allow you to give me any feedback so that I may make any adjustments needed to be made for your big day.
-
When do you hold bridal trial appointments?Bridal trials are held during the weekdays (weekends are reserved for weddings and family time 😉). Typically our studio hours are between 9am-2pm. *No evening appointments.
-
Can I do a trial first, and then book my wedding date after?"Technically yes, you can set up a bridal trial appointment before booking. BUT keep in mind that your wedding date is NOT secured without a signed contract and deposit. Your date is still open for other brides to book. This means that should another bride book your wedding date, your trial will be canceled.

What should I look for when looking for hair inspiration photos?Look for hairstyles with similar hair color, texture, and length as you. If you have dark brunette hair, look for hairstyles with dark hair. If you have blonde hair, look for blonde styles. This will give you a more realistic expectation of how your hair may look. Look at the different parts that make up a hairstyle. For example: How do you want the front? How much volume do you want on top? What type of curl do you like? Do you like more clean, smooth, airy, boho, etc.? If you know you have super thin/fine hair and are interested in a very voluminous style; be sure to rent or purchase clip-in extensions (or consider semi-permanent extensions like tape ins) PRIOR to your bridal trial in order to add extra volume and/or length needed for your style. Ask about our clip-in hair extension rental program!
-
What should I look for when looking for makeup inspiration photos?Look for eye makeup on similar eye shapes to your own. Do you have hooded eyes, mono-lids or almond shaped eyes? Search for the descriptive words that apply to you (soft, bold, natural, glowing, etc.).

My hair is stick straight and doesn't hold a curl well. Can I still do a half-up style or all down with curls?First, I always. recommend prepping your hair with a volumizing mousse (after washing & before blow drying). And while there are a few things I can do to help as well, if your hair is straight and stubborn and simply refuses to hold a curl; I highly recommend putting your hair into an updo, a ponytail or a braided style to ensure a long-lasting result. The last thing you want is to worry about your hair going straight throughout your wedding day! Another option you have is to bring 100% real human hair clip-in extensions to your hair trial. Quality hair extensions mixed with your natural hair can help with longevity of curls. (Plus who doesn't love extra volume!) Ask about our clip-in hair extension rental (and purchase) program!

What type of extensions should I buy?Clip-in extensions must be 100% human hair. Synthetic hair will not curl and will melt with the use of hot tools. I know it can be overwhelming to figure out what length and color is best for you. GOOD NEWS... we have a clip-in hair extension rental program to make that process easy for you! Now you can get the hair of your dreams without the full investment! We keep the process easy and affordable so anyone can achieve their hair goals! If you think you'll use them for more than just your wedding day, we also have them available for purchase!
